Joseph Robinson Jr., the oldest son of the founders of the pioneering hip-hop music label Sugar Hill Records and a recording artist himself, died Saturday in Tenafly. The cause was cancer, according to his family. The 53-year-old music executive was part of the legendary empire — based in Englewood — founded in the 1970s and led by his parents, Sylvia and Joseph Robinson Sr.
